- R-cran-sqldf SQL select on R data frames
- 0.4.11 databases
=0 0.4.7.1_5Version of this port present on the latest quarterly branch. - Maintainer: skreuzer@FreeBSD.org
 - Port Added: 2012-08-22 18:10:33
- Last Update: 2022-05-07 17:49:25
- Commit Hash: a908670
- License: GPLv2
- Description:
- The sqldf() function is typically passed a single argument which is an SQL
select statement where the table names are ordinary R data frame names. sqldf()
transparently sets up a database, imports the data frames into that database,
performs the SQL select or other statement and returns the result using a
heuristic to determine which class to assign to each column of the returned
data frame. The sqldf() or read.csv.sql() functions can also be used to read
filtered files into R even if the original files are larger than R itself can
handle. 'RSQLite', 'RH2', 'RMySQL' and 'RPostgreSQL' backends are supported.

Bump PORTREVISION for ports depending on the canonical version of GCC
as defined in Mk/bsd.default-versions.mk which has moved from GCC 8.3
to GCC 9.1 under most circumstances now after revision 507371.
This includes ports
- with USE_GCC=yes or USE_GCC=any,
- with USES=fortran,
- using Mk/bsd.octave.mk which in turn features USES=fortran, and
- with USES=compiler specifying openmp, nestedfct, c11, c++0x, c++11-lang,
c++11-lib, c++14-lang, c++17-lang, or gcc-c++11-lib
plus, everything INDEX-11 shows with a dependency on lang/gcc9 now.

sqldf is an R package for runing SQL statements on R data frames, optimized
for convenience. The user simply specifies an SQL statement in R using data
frame names in place of table names and a database with appropriate table
layouts/schema is automatically created, the data frames are automatically
loaded into the database, the specified SQL statement is performed, the
result is read back into R and the database is deleted all automatically
behind the scenes making the database's existence transparent to the user
who only specifies the SQL statement.
