New port: sysutils/wmscript: System monitoring dockapp for Window Maker
WMScript allows to specify a command and have the numeric result
of that command displayed in the dock app's window. Up to 5 things
to monitor, the interval is configurable.
See http://freshmeat.sourceforge.net/projects/wmscript for details.

Remove hal
Hal has been introduced as part of the Gnome2 desktop and used in many
desktop application as an abstraction on the hardware layer, it has been quickly
deprecated, but alternatives took time to land in freebsd.
In most cases alternatives are now in place or upstreams dropped entirely
support for
HAL.
As a result it is time to retire HAL

sysutils/nvimpager: Add port
Using neovim as a pager to view man pages, git diffs, whatnot with neovim's
syntax highlighting and mouse support.
The script also has a "cat mode" which will not start up the neovim interface
but instead print a highlighted version of the file to the terminal. Like cat
with neovim syntax highlighting! If the input has less lines than the terminal
cat mode is activated automatically so nvimpager behaves similar to less -F.
Pager mode and cat mode can be enforced with the options -p and -c
respectively.
Nvimpager comes with a small set of command line options but you can also use
all of neovim's command line options. Use nvimpager -h to see the help text.
The configuration is separated from the users config for neovim. The main
config file is ~/.config/nvimpager/init.vim. See the manpage for further
explanation.

sysutils/spcm: Tools for building and managing HPC clusters
SPCM (Simple, Portable Cluster Manager) is a free, open source
integrated tool set for managing a simple HPC (High Performance
Computing) cluster.
It is the only portable cluster management suite we are aware of
and is designed to be easily adapted to most POSIX platforms.
SPCM automates the process of configuring a head node, compute
nodes, file servers, and visualization nodes. Most common management
tasks can be performed using a simple menu interface, while additional
tasks are supported by command-line tools.

Remove most expired ports that depend on Python 2.7:
Exceptions are:
- mail/mailman, our listservers still use it
- www/chromium, solely because of popular demand,
upstream is (slowly) working on porting it to Python 3
- ports that have actual patches for Python 3 against
them (Cinnamon and a few unrelated other ports)
- llvm70 and qt5-webengine because they seem to have a lot
of dependencies which need further analysis
- sysutils/uefi-edk2-bhyve because bhyve seems to use them
- python2 and python27 themselves
I'm sure there will be complaints, but the nice thing about
a version control system is that we can revert and adjust things.

Versus the original contribution, I've made two changes:
- dropped .packlist from the pkg-plist (complaints in poudriere

- dropped PORTREVISION=1 - a new port starts out with
PORTREVISION=0, and since that is a default we normally omit
it on ports that stand alone.

Add sysutils/rubygem-choria-mcorpc-support
These are stripped down versions of the legacy Marionette Collective libraries
that are used to facilitate hosting Ruby based MCollective Agents within the
Golang daemon as well as interact with a Choria network from the Ruby API and
mco CLI
It's not possible to run the old MCollective daemon using this code or the
resulting gem.
This fork was made off version 2.12.0 of The Marionette Collective and have
diverged since then, the changes made are not compatible with legacy
MCollective.

[NEW] sysutils/gitwatch: Bash script to watch a file or folder and commit
changes to a git repo
A bash script to watch a file or folder and commit changes to a git repo
What to use it for?
* config files: some programs auto-write their config files, without waiting
for you to click an 'Apply' button; or even if there is such a button, most
programs offer you no way of going back to an earlier version of your settings.
If you commit your config file(s) to a git repo, you can track changes and go
back to older versions. This script makes it convenient, to have all changes
recorded automatically.
* document files: if you use an editor that does not have built-in git support
(or maybe if you don't like the git support it has), you can use gitwatch to
automatically commit your files when you save them, or combine it with the
editor's auto-save feature to fully automatically and regularly track your
changes.

[NEW PORT] sysutils/ethname: boot-time (re)naming of ethernet devices by MAC
An rc-script for pinning an ethernet network name to a MAC address.
--
This isn't typically needed on PCIe systems, but for systems with multiple
USB ethernet (ue) devices, which seem to like to come up in
non-deterministic order, it is very helpful; doubly so when the system in
question is a router / firewall where the network config and security
concerns vary wildly from one device to the next.
It could also be of use for traditional NICs (PCIe) when adding a new card
to a system, for example, and ensuring that the existing, previously
configured device sticks to the MAC address, and not having to worry about
which ends up /dev/xxxN vs /dev/xxxM.
The script inserts itself before netif, waits an adjustable delay for the
expected devices to appear, and then renames them as requested by the user.
All of the device configuration, pf, etc., can be written with the new
names. It does not attempt to automatically handle devices added after boot.
--
Usage is described in the script, but effectively:
$ cat /etc/rc.conf
ethname_enable="YES"
ethname_foo0_mac="aa:bb:cc:dd:ee:00"
ethname_bar_mac="aa:bb:cc:dd:ee:01"
# Optionally, otherwise it'll just enumerate all ethname_*_mac vars:
ethname_names="foo0 bar"

Update KDE Plasma Desktop to 5.20.0
Everyday utilities and tools, such as the Panels, Task Manager, Notifications
and System Settings, have all been overhauled to make them more usable,
efficient, and friendlier.
Meanwhile, developers are hard at work adapting Plasma and all its bits and
pieces to Wayland. Once done, Plasma will not only be readier for the future,
but will also work better with touchscreens and multiple screens with different
refresh rates and DPIs. Plasma will also offer better support for
hardware-accelerated graphics, be more secure, and enjoy many more advantages.
Although still work in progress, 5.20 already offers users many of the benefits
of Plasma on Wayland.
Read on to find out more about the new features and improvements included in
Plasma 5.20...

Nix is a purely functional package manager. This means that it treats
packages like values in purely functional programming languages such as
Haskell -- they are built by functions that don't have side-effects,
and they never change after they have been built.
FreeBSD support in Nix is not fully complete yet. This commit only
brings the Nix package manager to the ports. Hopefully, this port will
streamline the work of bootstrapping of Nix packages on FreeBSD.
Thanks to all the kind folks who contributed to the porting efforts.
It was a fun journey.

sysutils/seatd: add new port
seatd is a seat management deamon, that does everything it needs to
do. Nothing more, nothing less. Depends only on libc.
libseat is a seat management library allowing applications to use
whatever seat management is available.
Supports:
- seatd
- (e)logind
- embedded seatd for standalone operation
Each backend can be compile-time included and is runtime auto-detected
or manually selected with the `LIBSEAT_BACKEND` environment variable.
Which backend is in use is transparent to the application, providing a
simple common interface.
